RVC Learn acts as the gateway to access lecture recordings, all of which are recorded using the Echo360 lecture capture system.

The lecture capture system is an invaluable tool for teaching and learning at the RVC, and has been used throughout the College, not only to capture an event but also as a way to deliver a lecture when the lecturer is unable to travel to the event location.

Our students use the lecture capture system in many innovative ways:

  • Some use it for note taking; they can watch the lecture and review the recording while making notes, with the option of pausing the recording, playing it at double speed, stopping and rewinding.
  • Others use it as a revision tool, often played at double speed. It is, of course, used for days when the students are absent from the college due to sickness as an example.
  • Some students use the system every day, and some use it now and again. It is available 24/7.

You will have off-site access via RVC Learn, making it possible to review lectures wherever you are in the world.

Here is a clip from a lecture on demand, taken from a Clinical Skills lecture on the third year of the Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine.
