We are pleased to offer an online vet booking facility so you can choose and book an appointment with one of our vets. 
No need to phone - just pick the time, date, and vet that suits you. Please note - This facility is for EXISTING CLIENTS for our general practice only.
The online facility is for routine appointments ONLY. If your animal has a medical emergency please contact us directly for advice on 0207 387 8134.

Online vet appointment bookings - Frequently asked questions

Is the actual vet appointment held online?

No - the vet appointment itself will be held face-to-face here at the RVC Beaumont Sainsbury Animal Hospital - this is purely a diary system to help you choose a date and time that best suits you and your pet  

Is online booking appointment facility open for any type of pet?

Yes - Our online appointment booking service can be used for any pets (not just cat or dog!) provided you are an existing registered client. It is not available for referral clients - this is when exotic animal owners who have been referred by an independent general practice vet for more complex health issues. 

Can I use this online vet booking system to book any kind of appointment?

The system is designed for appointments which are routine (eg: vaccination booster) or NON-urgent bookings only. 
If your animal has any of the following conditions below - they are NOT suitable for an online appointment.

  • Urogenital • Straining to pass urine, but no urine being passed or pus discharge from vulva/ genital area.
  • Respiratory • Breathing difficulties. • Choking/ something stuck in throat. Trauma/ ingestion
  • Major bleeding, or bleeding that does not stop when pressure is applied
  • Traffic accident or fall from height
  • Injuries/ punctures caused by a stick
  • Ingested poison – e.g. chocolate/ medications/ poisonous plants (e.g. Lilies)
  • Broken bones/ open fractures
  • Bite wounds
  • Neurological • Continuous fitting or repeated fits. • Cats with a sudden inability to use one or both hind limbs, usually panting or distressed vocalisation. • Lack of coordination. • Head tilting or walking in a circle. • Unresponsive or collapsed
  • Gastrointestinal • Unproductive vomiting (continuous retching but no vomit produced). • Vomiting that is also accompanied by blood. Swollen abdomen
  • Sudden eye issues • Known eye trauma. • Swollen eye. • Sudden severe squinting. • Vision loss. • Cloudy eye. • Red eye.

How far in advance can I make an online vet appointment booking?

Diary slots can only be scheduled 3 working days in advance (i.e.: if you require an appointment sooner– please call us on 0207 387 8134)

What do I need to make an online booking to see my vet?

We will need your phone number and email address. Pre-payment is required to secure a consultation using a debit card, credit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay.
We cannot accept American Express.

What does my online booking price include?

The online booking price is a £55 deposit which is taken off your consultation fee. Deposits are refundable up to 48 hours in advance of the appointment. Deposits are not refundable for missed appointments or cancellations with less than 48 hours notice.  Any additional treatment will be discussed with you during your consultation.  We ask that you settle your remaining balance being at the end of your consultation.

How will I know if my online vet booking has been successful?

You should receive confirmation of your booking to your email address – please check your ‘Junk’ folder in case it has been diverted in error

Can I book online to see my vet at the weekend?

Yes.  All diary slots can only be scheduled 3 working days in advance (i.e.: if you require an appointment sooner– please call us on 0207 387 8134) so bear this in mind if you require a weekend booking. 

Can I cancel my vet appointment using the online system?

In the confirmation email you receive there is information re. cancelling or rescheduling your appointment, in order to organise a refund of your deposit, you will need to contact us on 0207 387 8134

I have an issue with my online vet booking, who do I contact?

Please note that we can only respond during our normal office opening hours which are:

Mon - Fri: 08:00 - 19:00
Saturday: 09:00 - 15:30
Sunday: 10:30 - 15:30
